The United States is a country of immigrants. Our diversity makes us who we are today. Unfortunately, due to the politicization of immigration to America, a portion of Americans have a stigma for immigration. Whether it’s migrants from the US-Mexico border, Asia, or the Middle East, there are words that have been used for decades in the United States that are dehumanizing millions of people who live in the United States. Before we get to the blatant dehumanization, here are some words that come cloaked in a dog-whistle and people may not even know it.

The Casual Dehumanization

The discussion lately has been about the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccine rollout around the world. While there are now many vaccines for this deadly virus, there is another deadly pandemic on our hands and it’s been ignored for decades. Except this pandemic will never, ever, have a vaccine. It’s called climate change. The COVID-19 pandemic is a terrible tragedy. But the undeclared pandemic of climate change could very well be even worse than COVID-19, even on its worst week.

Think about it. The whole world stopped. Locked down in confusion. It was all new. Would we get sick if…

Chances are if you live in a state that voted for Trump in 2020, the vaccination rate in your state is low or has not yet crossed the 50% mark. Unfortunately we have to go even smaller and realize that rural America is vaccine hesitant. Small towns that are heavily Republican have a belief that the pandemic never existed because they weren’t affected by it. Now that the Delta variant is the most dominant mutation of COVID-19, chances are more likely that states with low vaccination rates and small towns will be affected.

This doesn’t mean that all Republicans aren’t…

One of the core missions among Democrats is to make sure that undocumented immigrants from Latin America have a path to citizenship in the United States. It is also perfectly legal for undocumented immigrants to apply for asylum at the US-Mexico border. The Biden Administration has long talked about a path to citizenship for those who have entered the country by crossing the border US without documentation. Vice President Kamala Harris has been tasked with overseeing migration from the US-Mexico border and getting to the root cause on why citizens from Mexico and Guatemala make the long journey to the…

While Florida may seem like a state that trends Republican in recent years, it’s still considered a swing state even as 2022 approaches. In the 2020 election, there were Democrats in Congress that could have easily won another term. It was also believed that Biden would secure Florida as part of his victory. So why didn’t some win in Florida and why did some just barely hold on? Here’s the key to learning from the biggest mistake of the 2020 election: Don’t ignore the Latino community until last minute.

Throughout the entire election, the focus was heavily on winning back…

In President Biden’s First 100 days, many milestones were achieved. A diverse cabinet that looks like America, The $1.9T American Rescue Plan which included $1,400 stimulus checks to every American, and the extremely successful vaccine rollout just to name a few. While vaccine data has been soaring higher than expected, expect that data to soon sink like a rock floating to the bottom of the ocean.

The Successful Uphill Climb
On Biden’s Inauguration Day, his original goal of 100 million vaccines administered to every day Americans seemed almost astronomically impossible. Journalists including myself were skeptical. …

While President Biden is working on restoring normalcy in the White House, families across the nation are still divided with no end in sight. The re-election of the Trump presidency still live inside people’s heads as they reach for conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory. There are two main reasons for that: The Big Lie and QAnon. Both of which are ripping families apart — including my own.

The Question

When I was just a kid, maybe about seven years old or so, I was interested in a lot of things. State capitals, countries, flags, license plates, presidents, I loved learning…

The Biden administration announced on January 26th, 2021 that 300 million Americans will be vaccinated by the end of Summer. The end of summer is September 22nd, 2021. That is 91% of Americans vaccinated.

Hopefully this goal is reached and hopefully we can speed it up to be before this date. That’s 234 days from today, (January 31st, 2021) and 100 million Americans vaccinated every 78 days.

Today is January 31st, 2021 and we are 11 days into the Biden presidency. He promised 100 million people vaccinated in 100 days. …

Joe Biden is now the 46th President of the United States. He was inaugurated January 20th, 2021, at 11:48am eastern while flurries of snow blew in the wind. In the moment he put his left hand on his 128 year old Bible and raised his right hand to take the oath of office, not only did the nuclear codes automatically transfer to him, but so did the COVID-19 pandemic.

After a day of celebrations Biden signed 17 executive orders reversing several Trump policies. They ranged on a spectrum of issues from dealing with COVID-19 by implementing mandatory masks in federal…

One hundred feet. Sixty seconds. That’s how close and how long domestic terrorists were to potentially killing the Vice President of the United States. And it was all at the direction of the President of the United States, Donald John Trump.

After months of President Donald Trump lying about the 2020 presidential election, along with 60 court losses, and several attempts to pressure swing states to “find enough votes” to overturn the state election certification, he promoted a January 6th event at the nation’s Capitol to intimidate members of congress to quote on quote “stop the steal.” …
